This episode of Evolving Humans is a collection of topics too short for a complete episode, so I've gathered them here for your holiday enjoyment and even if you don't celebrate Christmas, there's still some valuable takeaways here, so stay tuned. Welcome to Evolving Humans, the podcast for Awakening
Souls. I'm your host, Julia Marie. Settle in and get ready for another spirited conversation.
(00:45):
First holiday strategies to help you maintain your equilibrium this season. Then you'll hear about how this podcast came to be and why I continue to create episodes for you. Then a shout out of gratitude to each and every one of you for your continued support of this podcast and my hope for where we can take this
together in 2025. It's that time of year again. It's a time of celebration, family gatherings, and joy. For some of us, it is also a time that brings with it a unique set of challenges that weigh heavily on our hearts and our minds. The ghosts of Christmas' past often haunt our memories and color our experiences of
Christmas present as a media. I've heard from relatives living on the other side of life and many of them have the same message. We are still here with you. We see you. We love you. Do not be sad. Remember the good times we had together and celebrate those times, especially now during the season of light. I'm
not saying pretend to be happy when you're grieving the loss of a loved one, but hopefully focusing on the good memories you have of your time with that person will lift a bit of that heaviness.
(02:21):
They want to see you smile again to live your life for them and for yourself. Intention and the power of choice are two of our most powerful tools. We choose how we'll approach the holidays and we determine whether we allow ourselves to be triggered or stay calm, centered and clear in the face of that family
member who knows how to push our buttons. Setting boundaries with these family members and sticking to them can be very empowering. If you're the one who's in charge of the family gathering and you know
who you are, release the pressure of perfection and focus on the bigger picture. Your family is together and you made that happen, but don't forget to take care of yourself. Take a break or two. Go for a walk or curl up with your favorite book for an hour or so while the Turkey's cooking.
(03:25):
Remember that when you choose love over conflict or your presence over perfection, you're empowered by that choice. Society expects us to be happy and full of good cheer, but sometimes that only seems to amplify our feelings of loss, loneliness, anxiety, and depression. Acknowledge to yourself that it's critical
to remember it's okay to feel this way. Recognizing our feelings is the first step towards finding comfort amidst the chaos of the season. If you're one of those people who don't have a place to go for the holidays, anything you can do to surround yourself with supportive friends and family, even in small doses can help
alleviate that sense of isolation. An alternative plan of action to consider is to engage in community activities or find an opportunity to volunteer in your local area. Finding joy in the simple moments and you can make them whatever you choose, goes a long way.
(04:41):
My go-to is watching those ubiquitous holiday movies, both the old school ones like Miracle on 34th Street and White Christmas, or the newer ones like Red One or the Grinch, and I sometimes add a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows For good measure and to stay warm, I grab a fluffy blanket to snuggle up
under. Might sound silly, but these types of activities can lift your spirits as we navigate this holiday season To help us cope better, we can focus on self-care and mindfulness. We need to remember the essence of the holidays is about connection, compassion, and love, both for others and ourselves. Here are
a few more suggestions for you. Some practical ways to embrace the season while still taking care of yourself. First, set realistic expectations and focus on creating enjoyable moments Rather than stressing about meeting societal standards and maybe consider taking a break from the social media, this can help
you focus on your own experiences and feelings.
(06:04):
Last but certainly not least, don't forget the power of saying no. It's okay to decline invitations or set limits on your time. You have the right to prioritize your own wellbeing and saying No protects your energy. Whether you are surrounded by family and friends or spending this time solo, remember that the
energy you bring to the season can make all the difference. You can transform your experience, and I wish you all a season filled with love, peace, and happiness. Let us embrace the holidays and celebrate all the moments, not just the good ones, but the challenges as well. It is all part of our journey and
overcoming the obstacles that come along with the season makes us stronger. We can spread kindness, practice compassion, and be gentle with ourselves when we are grateful for all that is given to us. We can make this a time of true renewal and hope.
(07:22):
Now, I'd like to spend a few moments talking about where we've been together this year and where I'd like to travel with you in 2025. Evolving Humans is now on YouTube, and when you subscribe there, not only do you get podcast episodes, you also gain access to additional content like the Channeling channel,
which is a growing collection of channel discussions with Universal Intelligence. If you want to be a part of this project, simply leave your questions in the comments section of any channeling project episode and we'll answer them if they're of general interest to everyone. One of the most popular features of the
Evolving Humans Podcast this past year were the monthly Cosmic Weather reports featuring my favorite vibrational astrologer, Michael Sprole. The good news for all of us is he's agreed to continue his monthly
weather reports in 2025. I am considering producing more solo episodes in 2025, but if I do, I'll need your help.
(08:34):
Please give us suggestions for topics you want to learn more about, guests you would like to hear from, or other content you are interested in, and I'll do my best to bring that to you, and when you get an idea for a podcast episode topic, all you have to do is scroll down on your phone and click on the Send us a text link
at the top of the show notes page. My goal is to provide quality content you want to listen to, so please take a moment to provide your input so that together we can create an even Better Evolving Humans podcast. Some of the standout episodes this year, according to the total number of downloads, covered
topics, as diverse as our galactic origins, talking to animals, clothing is a catalyst for growth becoming authentically intuitive and how to change your life by changing your mind.
(09:38):
I will search for more guests that are able to expand on these topics in 2025. Our goal for next year is to reach the top 10% of all podcasts, and I cannot meet that goal without your input and your shares. Please subscribe to the YouTube channel if you haven't already and share any episode that brought you value
with at least two other people so that as I always say, we can bring more light to this world. Now, I want to take a moment to acknowledge that without your decision to press play on an episode of evolving humans, I would not have the opportunity to reach out and hopefully make a difference in the lives of
people outside my own limited sphere of influence. Four years ago, spirit asked me to start this podcast, and since I didn't have a clue how to do that, I took a class, then I had to gather my courage to actually produce content for that first episode.
(10:48):
It took me six months to go from posting my trailer to actually producing content on a regular basis, but I finally got the hang of it. I've made some mistakes and I continue to do my best to improve what I bring to you. You have been loyal to the podcast and I am grateful to you for that support. I want to shout out to
top five cities in 2024, based on the number of downloads, St. Louis, Missouri was number one, but surprisingly, Sydney New South Wales was number two from St. Louis to Sydney. It has a nice ring to it, and I thank you Denver, Colorado, Chicago, Illinois, and Medford, Oregon. Round out the top five, but I want to acknowledge some of the other places where evolving humans played in 2024, Frankfurt,
Germany, Taipei, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Fayetteville, North Carolina, Brooklyn, New York, and Dublin, Ireland to name a few.
(12:04):
The top five countries in 2024 were the United States, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan. Some of the other countries I want to acknowledge are Germany, Trinidad, and Tobago, New Zealand, South Africa, Israel, South Korea, and the Russian Federation. So will you help me in 2025?
Give me your ideas for episodes, and when you find value in an episode, please like I always say, share it with two other people so that together we can bring more light to this world. I'll close with this holiday
Wish that 2025 brings you the peace, the abundance, the spiritual growth and expansion that you as an evolving human so richly deserve. Enjoy the season and I look forward to many more episodes with you next year.
